According to the government on the 28th, the Korea Maritime Institute (KIMST) designated "Listeria monocytogenes real-time PCR kit" as an excellent R&D innovation product (fasttrack) last year. Sanigen, selected by the Korea Development Institute as an innovative product company, has developed a real-time rapid detection kit through a technology that can uniquely detect only Listeria monocytogenes present in the food or environment. The Sanigen kit can detect Listeria monocytogenes without false positives and false negatives, which can lead to food poisoning accidents caused by microorganisms at each stage of production, manufacture, distribution, and sale of marine products, thereby reducing loss of business opportunities to producers and providing safe food to consumers. Earlier, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries designated this product as an "excellent R&D innovation product in 2020."
