Sanigen (CEO Park Jung-woong) announced on the 31st that its own "Simultaneous Multiple Detection Technology for Food Poisoning Bacteria Using NGS Technology" has been certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The "NGS technology for simultaneous detection of food poisoning bacteria" will receive benefits such as support for public procurement through recommendation of designation of innovative products for three years and exemption from technology evaluation when applying for corporate start-up funds. The new technology certification system for agriculture, forestry and food is a government certification system awarded to innovative technologies or excellent technologies developed for the first time in Korea after screening technology and economic feasibility. "NGS panel technology is the world's first application of NGS panel technology to test non-human samples such as food. All 16 food poisoning bacteria designated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety can be detected in a single test and up to 384 samples can be tested simultaneously." Last year, it completed a domestic patent application, and international patent applications for the U.S. and PCT were carried out.
